Subject: Delivery

Q. When can I expect to receive my card and certificate after I pass the exam?

A. Cards and certificates are mailed to your NETA Accredited Representative within four weeks of the completion of an exam window. Annual reprints of cards and certificates are mailed before January 31st each year.

Subject: Electronic Copy of Card

Q. Can I get an electronic copy of my certification card.

A. One of the security measures for protecting your hard-earned certification is to assure that the credentials are not easily duplicated. For this reason, NETA no longer offers digital or electronic copies of technician cards or certificates.

Subject: Employment Change

Q. What if I leave the NETA Accredited Company through which I was certified? Can I keep my card and certificate?

A. Cards and certificates are only valid while the technician is employed by the company for which they were working when the certification was earned. However, that certification may be transferred to a different NETA Accredited Company as long as all the requirements for recertification are met and it is within five years of the date of exit from the certifying NETA Accredited Company.

Subject: Logos

Q. Can my NETA Accredited Company logo be included on my technician card?

A. Yes. If your NETA Accredited Company wishes to imprint their technician cards with their company logo, they should contact the Member Services Department to ask more about that process.

Subject: Lost Card or Certificate

Q. What if I lose my card or certificate?

A. You may request a replacement card or certificate by contacting your NETA Accredited Representative. The replacement will be mailed to your NETA Accredited Company to their attention and they will assure that you receive it.

Subject: Valid Through Date

Q. Why is my card valid for only one year, ending on January 31?

A. Cards are issued annually to assure that the information is accurate and up-to-date on a regular basis.
