International Associate

 Who is eligible?

The International Associate classification is available to companies that do not conduct business in territories governed by NAFTA (US and its territories, Mexico, Canada). If the company does business in any of these areas, it must apply as a NETA Accredited Company.

The NETA International Associate receives the following benefits:

  • The International Associate receives a NETA membership certificate
  • The International Associate may use the International Associate logo and/or the words "International Associate" on its company literature and in its description of its association with NETA
  • The International Associate is contributing to an organization developing ANSI
  • The International Associate may access NETA as a technical resource
  • Employees of the International Associate may attend NETA quarterly meetings and technical tutorials
  • The International Associate may have representatives serve on standing committees
  • Employees of the International receive discounts to attend NETA’s annual PowerTest Electrical Maintenance and Safety Conference (February 15-18, 2010, in Long Beach, California)
  • The International Associate will receive NETA World quarterly technical journal (a $40 value)
  • The International Associate may purchase NETA publications at the discounted rate of 20%

The NETA International Associate will receive the following special benefits as part of its first year’s dues:

The first year’s dues include the registration fee for one person from the company to attend NETA’s annual PowerTest Electrical Maintenance and Safety Conference. Additional employees may attend at a discounted Associate rate


The first year’s dues include a copy of the following NETA Publications:

ANSI/NETA Standard for Acceptance Testing Specifications for Electrical Power Equipment and Systems (2009)

ANSI/NETA Standard for Maintenance Testing Specifications for Electrical Power Distribution Equipment and Systems (2007)
