Battery Work Safety

Evidence of battery usage has been associated with the first civilizations in Mesopotamia and was rediscovered in the early 19th century. The reaction of two metals and an electrolyte causes electron flow through a closed circuit (solenoid, relay, UPS, inverter). There are many technologies to achieve this, but only a few will be found associated with switchgear and electrical systems: lead acid (sealed and flooded) and nickel cadmium (flooded). Nickel-metal-hydride and lithium-ion are emerging technologies that may soon be found in this market as costs drop.
